Helleborus odorus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Ranunculaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Hungaria hingga Albania. Nama ilmiah Helleborus odorus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Franz de Paula Adam von Waldstein pada tahun 1809.
