Helodeaster helenae merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Hawaii (Kauai). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan mt. waialeale island-daisy. Nama ilmiah Helodeaster helenae pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Charles Noyes Forbes pada tahun 2020.
