Hemerocallis major merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asphodelaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Jepang selatan (Kepulauan Danjo). Nama ilmiah Hemerocallis major pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Gilbert Baker pada tahun 1986.
