Hemionitis rufa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Pteridaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Meksiko tenggara hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Nama ilmiah Hemionitis rufa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Olof Peter Swartz pada tahun 1801.
