Heptapleurum cephalotes merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Araliaceae (suku mangkok-mangkokan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh menjalar. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Semenanjung Thailand hingga kawasan Malesia barat. Nama ilmiah Heptapleurum cephalotes pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Charles Baron Clarke pada tahun 1879.
