Heritiera utilis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Afrika bagian barat. Nama ilmiah Heritiera utilis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Thomas Archibald Sprague pada tahun 1909.
