Hernandia sonora adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Hernandiaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Meksiko, Karibia. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan mago. Nama ilmiah Hernandia sonora pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carolus Linnaeus dalam Species Plantarum tahun 1753.
