Heteropterys macrostachya adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu dari famili Malpighiaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Oaxaca, Chiapas), hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Nama ilmiah Heteropterys macrostachya pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Adrien-Henri de Jussieu pada tahun 1840.
