Heterotheca fastigiata merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari California hingga Meksiko (Baja California bagian utara). Nama ilmiah Heterotheca fastigiata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Edward Lee Greene pada tahun 1974.
