Heterotheca sessiliflora adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran) yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu kecil atau semak. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari California barat daya hingga Meksiko (Baja California barat laut). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sessileflower false goldenaster. Nama ilmiah Heterotheca sessiliflora pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Thomas Nuttall pada tahun 1951.
