Hibbertia patens merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Dilleniaceae (suku simpur-simpuran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Queensland tenggara hingga New South Wales timur laut. Nama ilmiah Hibbertia patens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hellmut Richard Toelken pada tahun 2000.
