Hibiscus argutus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Somalia barat laut. Nama ilmiah Hibiscus argutus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Gilbert Baker pada tahun 1895.
