Hibiscus aruensis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Papua (termasuk Kepulauan Aru). Nama ilmiah Hibiscus aruensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Jan van Borssum Waalkes pada tahun 1956.
