Hibiscus laurinus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Madagaskar timur-tengah dan timur laut. Nama ilmiah Hibiscus laurinus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Henri Ernest Baillon pada tahun 1885.
