Hibiscus leptocladus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Australia utara dan utara-tengah. Nama ilmiah Hibiscus leptocladus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Bentham pada tahun 1863.
