Hibiscus mutatus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Malawi selataningga Provinsi Utara (Northen). Nama ilmiah Hibiscus mutatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicholas Edward Brown pada tahun 1906.
