Hibiscus pedunculatus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Mozambique selatan hingga Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Hibiscus pedunculatus diperkenalkan oleh Carl Linnaeus the Younger pada tahun 1782.
