Hippocrepis brevipetala merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Afrika barat laut. Nama ilmiah Hippocrepis brevipetala pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Svante Samuel Murbeck pada tahun 1976.
