Hippuris tetraphylla adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semak dari famili Plantaginaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh di air (hidrofit). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) di wilayah Subarctic. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan fourleaf mare's-tail. Nama ilmiah Hippuris tetraphylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Linnaeus the Younger pada tahun 1782.
