Histiopteris incisa merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Dennstaedtiaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis dan subtropis. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan batwing fern. Nama ilmiah Histiopteris incisa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Peter Thunberg pada tahun 1875.
