Hordeum chilense adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kepulauan Juan Fernández, Chili, hingga Argentina selatan. Nama ilmiah Hordeum chilense pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johann Jacob Roemer pada tahun 1817.
