Hordeum halophilum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Peru hingga Amerika Selatan bagian selatan. Nama ilmiah Hordeum halophilum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis August Heinrich Rudolf Grisebach pada tahun 1874.
