Hovea elliptica merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Australia Barat. Nama ilmiah Hovea elliptica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis James Edward Smith pada tahun 1825.
