Howelliella ovata merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Plantaginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah California. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan ovateleaf snapdragon. Nama ilmiah Howelliella ovata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alice Eastwood pada tahun 1954.
