Huperzia schmidtchenii merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Lycopodiaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma pegunungan tropis di wilayah Kolombia. Nama ilmiah Huperzia schmidtchenii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Georg Hans Emmo Wolfgang Hieronymus pada tahun 1985.
