Huperzia urbanii merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Lycopodiaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia selatan hingga Peru. Nama ilmiah Huperzia urbanii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Wilhelm(Guillermo) Gustav(o) Franz(Francis) Herter pada tahun 1985.
