Hydrocotyle pusilla merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Araliaceae (suku mangkok-mangkokan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan tropical marshpennywort. Nama ilmiah Hydrocotyle pusilla diperkenalkan oleh Achille Richard pada tahun 1820.
