Hydrophylax maritima merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Sand dunes of India, Sri Lanka dan Semenanjung Thailand. Nama ilmiah Hydrophylax maritima pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Linnaeus the Younger pada tahun 1782.
