Hygrophila difformis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Nepal timur, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, hingga Australia utara. Nama ilmiah Hygrophila difformis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Linnaeus the Younger pada tahun 1826.
