Hymenophyllum macrothecum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan epifit dari famili Hymenophyllaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Puerto Rico hingga Lesser Antilles. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan mountain filmy fern. Nama ilmiah Hymenophyllum macrothecum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Antoine Laurent Apollinaire Fée pada tahun 1866.
