Hyparrhenia welwitschii adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika, Komoro. Nama ilmiah Hyparrhenia welwitschii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alfred Barton Rendle pada tahun 1919.
