Hypericophyllum compositarum merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Rep. Kongo, Chad, Tanzania, hingga kawasan tropis Afrika bagian selatan. Nama ilmiah Hypericophyllum compositarum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Joachim Steetz pada tahun 1864.
