Hypericum graveolens merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Hypericaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Tennessee timur hingga North Carolina barat. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan mountain st. johnswort. Nama ilmiah Hypericum graveolens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Samuel Botsford Buckley pada tahun 1843.
