Hypericum virgatum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Hypericaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian utara-tengah dan timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sharpleaf st. johnswort. Nama ilmiah Hypericum virgatum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jean-Baptiste Lamarck pada tahun 1797.
