Hypochaeris crepioides merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Rusia Timur Jauh selatan hingga Jepang (Hokkaido). Nama ilmiah Hypochaeris crepioides diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Misao Tatewaki pada tahun 1934.
