Hypochaeris echegarayi adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma pegunungan tropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Peru selatan-tengah hingga Argentina barat laut. Nama ilmiah Hypochaeris echegarayi diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Georg Hans Emmo Wolfgang Hieronymus pada tahun 1881.
