Hypochaeris lutea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil tenggara dan selatan hingga Uruguay timur laut dan Paraguay timur. Nama ilmiah Hypochaeris lutea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama José Mariano da Conceição Vellozo pada tahun 1893.
