Hypoestes discreta merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Nusa Tenggara (Sumbawa). Nama ilmiah Hypoestes discreta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Spencer Le Marchant Moore pada tahun 1925.
