Hypoestes phyllostachya adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Madagaskar. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan polkadot-plant. Nama ilmiah Hypoestes phyllostachya pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Gilbert Baker pada tahun 1887.
