Hypolepis ambigua adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Dennstaedtiaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Selandia Baru, Kepulauan Chatham. Nama ilmiah Hypolepis ambigua pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Achille Richard pada tahun 1984.
