Hypoxis aurea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Hypoxidaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di kawasan Asia tropis dan subtropis. Nama ilmiah Hypoxis aurea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis João de Loureiro pada tahun 1790.
