Hypoxis baurii var. platypetala adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Hypoxidaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Provinsi Cape timur hingga KwaZulu-Natal. Nama ilmiah Hypoxis baurii var. platypetala diperkenalkan oleh John Gilbert Baker pada tahun 1896.
