Hyptis alata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Subkawasan tropis Amerika. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan clustered bushmint. Nama ilmiah Hyptis alata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Constantine Samuel Rafinesque pada tahun 1962.
