Hyptis involucrata merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Nama ilmiah Hyptis involucrata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 1858. Nama spesies ini merupakan sinonim dari Hyptis alutacea.
