Ichthyothere scandens merupakan tumbuhan perdu menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Nikaragua hingga Venezuela dan Peru. Nama ilmiah Ichthyothere scandens diperkenalkan oleh Sidney Fay Blake pada tahun 1921.
