Ilex cognata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Aquifoliaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil tenggara. Nama ilmiah Ilex cognata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Siegfried Reisseck pada tahun 1861.
