Ilex cornuta merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Aquifoliaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari China tengah dan selatan, Korea Selatan, hingga Hainan. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan chinese holly. Nama ilmiah Ilex cornuta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Lindley pada tahun 1850.
