Ilex guayusa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Aquifoliaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Selatan bagian barat hingga Venezuela. Nama ilmiah Ilex guayusa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ludwig Eduard Theodor Loesener pada tahun 1901.
