Ilex hypoglauca merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Aquifoliaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Sumatra hingga Kalimantan. Nama ilmiah Ilex hypoglauca pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Friedrich Anton Wilhelm Miquel pada tahun 1901.
