Ilex subrugosa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Aquifoliaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China (Sichuan tengah). Nama ilmiah Ilex subrugosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ludwig Eduard Theodor Loesener pada tahun 1911.
